Here’s the issue. In a family history report I want to include all spouses of my grandmother and grandfather, each of whom were twice married. After selecting the Family History Report command on the Create menu of Reunion 8.05, I then selected the Define Layouts command on the Layouts pull-down menu. For the particular layout, in the Settings column I selected Family Fields. Finally, when the third column displayed Family Fields I put marks in two check boxes: Marriage, and Divorce/Annulled/Separation. Saving these changes, I printed the report.
The result was the inclusion in the report of both wives for my grandfather and one husband (my grandfather) for my grandmother. The reason for this cannot be that Reunion excludes non-blood relatives from its family history report because my grandfather’s first wife, who was not my grandmother, was included in the report.
There must be a way of automatically producing a report that includes all spouses without having to resort to manually inserting the missing spouses into the final report. Have I missed a setting in Reunion that would accomplish the inclusion of all marriages in a family history report?
I welcome your comments and suggestions.
