I’m moving to Reunion from MacFamilyTree and have already had help from technical support to deal with dates that were importing strangely. That was fixed, which encouraged me that I was making a good move.
I know the migration is not likely to be trouble free, or complete, and I’m happy to tweak as necessary. It seems that information from 3 places doesn’t come across -
1. the second and subsequent Notes from Events
2. the Text field of sources, and again Notes other than the first
3. Notes in Multimedia.
If I look in the GEDCOM text file I think at least some of it is there, but I can copy and paste from the MacFamilyTree file. I have not been consistent about where I keep information (eg sources, transcriptions, notes to self), and it’s a good opportunity to improve on that. My file is not very big – so it is not too daunting a task.
My question to anyone else out there who has done this is - where else should I check?
